Recovery Assistant - On-Demand Learning Library

The CommServe Recovery Assistant tool is used to restore the CommServe database from the DR backup. The tool is used to rebuild the CommServe server on the same or different computer, change the name of the CommServe host and update the CommCell license.

To use the Recovery Assistant

1 - From the installation directory, execute CSRecoveryAssistant.exe.

2 - Define if it is a real recovery or for testing purposes.

3 - Provide the location of the DR Backup.

4 - Provide the location where to restore the database and logs.

5 - Start the recovery.

6 - Recovery will go through several steps.

7 - Once recovery is completed, click next.

8 - If restoring to an alternate server, the CommServe® Server name is changed.

9 - A license file can be provided.

10 - Once completed, click finish.
