Welcome to the Commvault® Professional Foundations Advanced self-paced training. This course is comprised of six four modules: CommCell EnvironmentDeployment, Advanced Storage Configuration, Security, Servers and Features, Data Storage Policy Management, and Monitoring with the CommCell® Console.
Let’s begin with the CommCell EnvironmentDeployment.
In this course you will:
- Review the powerful set of backup and recovery tools in the Commvault Portfolio.
- Learn about the Commvault® software, its multi-faceted CommCell® environment, and its primary core components: the CommServe® server and MediaAgent.
- Learn about the navigation and customization of the Commvault Command CenterTM, and,
- Take a closer look at the CommServe® Server, its DR backup processes, and recommendations how to use and configure the MediaAgent to handle storage efficiently.
- Learn how to navigate the CommCell console and step through the process of executing a base CommCell® deployment.
- Gather the information required to install the Commvault components including the CommServe server, MediaAgent, and file system agents, and
- Learn how Commvault® software is used to encrypt data for data protection and recovery operations.
[3] Also available are a series of instructor guided demonstrations that focus on how to:
- Perform the core setup of the Commvault Command CenterTM and administer common tasks.
- Add the File Servers and Virtualization features -- the tools required to manage and monitor backups and recovery.
This course should take you about 45
- Navigate and customize the CommCell Console.
- Download the Commvault® software and configure software caches and updates.
- Install and setup core components, the CommServe® server and MediaAgent.
- Execute database maintenance
- Perform both a Push and Interactive installation, and
- Configure Inline, Copy-based, and Hardware encryptions.
This course will take you 60 minutes to complete.
